Zhuang Guotu Born in 1952. Currently Director of Southeast Asian Studies Center of Xiamen University, Vice-Director of Nanyang Academy. He is a permanent member of the National Society for Overseas Chinese Studies, Beijing, Secretary-General of the National Society for Southeast Asian Studies and Vice-President of China Society of China foreign Relations History. Mr Zhuang has been a visiting scholar at Leiden University (the Netherlands) in (1986-88) and in Taiwan (1998, 2000). He won awards from the Fujianese Government for studies on Overseas Fujianese. Professor Zhuang is the only PRC representative of the Board of the International Society for Studies of Chinese Overseas (ISSCO). see article Winter 2001 | |||
