Jusuf Wanandi

Jusuf Wanandi is Chairman of the Supervisory Board and member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta.

A lawyer by training, Jusuf Wanandi was Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, and has served in various national and international organisations in the course of his career. Jusuf Wanandi was previously Chairman of the ASEAN Institute for Strategic and International Studies (ASEAN ISIS), Deputy Secretary General, Head of the Department of Planning and General Affairs, Deputy Treasurer and Head of the Department of International Affairs of the Central Board of Golkar. He was appointed Secretary of the Indonesian Supreme Advisory Council, Secretary General of the National Education Council, and four-term representative of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).

He is currently the President Director of the publishing company of the Jakarta Post, the national Indonesian English Daily and Chairman of the Indonesian National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (INCPEC), Vice-Chairman and Advisor of the Gemala Group of Companies, Board Chairman of the Prasetiya Mulya Graduate School of Management and Chairman of the Foundation of the Panca Bhakti University, Pontianak, West Kalimantan. He is also First co-Chairman of the Indonesian Member Committee of the CSCAP (Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific) and the co-Chairman of its steering Committee.
