Ranil Wickremesinghe Ranil Wickremesinghe, the 10th Prime Minister of Independent Sri Lanka, was born on the 24th of March in 1949. He is an old boy of Royal College in Colombo. In 1969 he entered the Faculty of Law in University Of Colombo. In the first year of his University life he was elected as the president of the Students Council of the Faculty Of Law. He holds a university degree L.L.B. Ranil Wickremesinghe contested his( first ) General Election held in 1970 and became the youngest member of the parliament. He was the youngest Minister of Education in the Government of Mr. J.R. Jayawardena. | |||
