Yotaro Kobayashi Born in April 1933 in England, Yotaro Kobayashi graduated from Keio University in 1956, and from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce in June 1958. He is the son of Setsutaro Kobayashi, Fuji Xerox's first president. Yotaro Kobayashi joins Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd in October 1958. He is then assigned to Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. in September 1963 (the company was a 50-50% joint-venture established in February 1962 between Fuji Photo Films and Xerox Corporation, an American company). In 1968, he becomes a member of the Board of Directors of Fuji Xerox, and Manager of Marketing and Planning. In January 1976, he is appointed Executive Vice-President, then becomes President and C.E.O of the company in January 1978. In 1992, he is Chairman and C.E.O, and in March 1999, Chairman of the Board. He is currently the Chairman of Keizai Doyukai, the Japanese Association of Corporate Executives as well as Chairman of the Aspen Institute Japan. He is on the board of many companies and Universities in the United States. | |||
