Takashi Inogushi

Takshi Inogushi is professor of Political Science at the Institute of Oriental Culture, University of Tokyo. He has published 34 books in English and in Japanese broadly on Japan in international affairs. His latest publications include: American Democracy Promotion (Oxford University Press, forthcoming), International Security Management and the United Nations (United Nations University Press, 1999), and The Changing Nature of Democracy (United Nations University Press, 1998). He was Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations in 1995-1997 (United Nations University Headquarters) and is Vice President of the Japanese Association of International Relations, Under Secretary General of a non-profit organization called University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) and Deputy Head of the Business-University Forum of Japan.
